The Maroondah City Council aims to provide high-quality services and facilities for the 115,000 residents in the Maroondah community. Their goal with this project was to empower employees to utilise OpenAI technologies in a secure and compliant manner to increase efficiency and better serve community members.
Collaborating with D6 and Arinco, they developed two AI solutions: a private ChatBOT for internal use and a document summarisation feature. D6 played a crucial role in identifying potential AI use cases through workshops, then helped to develop a roadmap and selected the top two use cases for pilot implementation.
These solutions not only enhanced productivity but also paved the way for future AI integration, aligning with Maroondah’s goal of leveraging AI to streamline operations and foster innovation while maintaining cost-effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
